The Medical Center of Southeast Texas Unveils Outpatient Surgery Center

The Medical Center of Southeast Texas will hold a dedication ceremony on Thursday, November 18th to celebrate the opening of a new Outpatient Surgery Center. The 6,661 square foot addition has been under construction for approximately one year.
The center is attached to the back of the facility and has a separate entrance. This allows patients easier access to the outpatient surgery center. The outpatient surgery area has dedicated registration and waiting areas, a stand-alone sterile processing area and more spacious locker rooms for surgeons and staff. The center also has four preoperative beds and eight postoperative beds which provide a more efficient manner for patients to go through the outpatient surgery process.
“This $3.6 million dollar project was built to fill a need in the community for efficient and quality surgical care,” said Michael Landry, Chief Executive Officer. “The addition to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas is an enhancement to the services we already provide to the community.”
