The Medical Center of Southeast Texas Opens Outpatient Cancer Center
February 28, 2011

The Medical Center of Southeast Texas will hold a dedication ceremony on Tuesday, March 8th to celebrate the opening of a new Outpatient Cancer Center. The 3,754 square foot addition has been under construction for approximately one year and is located in the federal building at the corner of Highway 69 and Jimmy Johnson Boulevard.

The Medical Center’s cancer treatment program offers the latest treatment and technology in the fight against cancer using state-of-the-art equipment which will enable the physician to administer very precise radiation treatments to the cancer cells with minimum side effects to the surrounding normal cells. Our dedicated team of highly skilled healthcare professionals will work together to design individualized care plans, as well as easy scheduling and follow-up appointments.

“The outpatient cancer center will allow patients to stay close to home for their radiation therapy, without traveling to Houston or Galveston,” said Mike Landry, CEO of The Medical Center, “and provide easy access to The Medical Center’s main campus for other required testing.”
