The Medical Center of Southeast Texas opened in April of 2005 with all private rooms, the most modern medical technology and a commitment to make the patient experience as pleasant as possible. From its luxurious birthing suites to its high-tech operating rooms, The Medical Center offers a broad spectrum of healthcare services to meet the diverse needs of its community. The hospital is focused on quality and on building centers of excellence, especially in the areas of cardiology, emergency medicine and women’s health.
Designed for efficiency with bedside registration, special treatment rooms for trauma and major cases, a fast-track for minor illnesses and injuries, a helipad and a large, comfortable waiting room with a play area for children

The Medical Center of Southeast Texas opened in April 2005 as a full service, 224-bed hospital focusing on Centers of Excellence in Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Women’s Services and Orthopedics.
Highlights of the facility include all-private rooms, a state-of-the art emergency room with a fast-track area for minor illness and injury, a dedicated heart center, surgical suites with the latest in digital surgical technology, and an obstetrics unit that includes a neo-natal intensive care unit for high-risk babies.
The facility continues to grow and opened an Outpatient Center in August 2006. The outpatient center offers Cardiac Rehabilitation Services, Wound Care/Hyperbaric Services, Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, a Child Development Rehab Center and Outpatient Imaging Services. The outpatient imaging services includes a 64-slice CT Scanner. The Medical Center is the first hospital in the Southeast Texas area to acquire the 64-Slice CT Scanner.
